Went to Compton's asked for a cup of decaf coffee. Received a cup of decaf with a surprise a lipstick mark on coffee cup that was not mine. Be careful people with covid19 they should be sanitizing and washing their utensils and dishes thoroughly. The food is really good though.

Went for my boo’s birthday. We were sat down quickly. The food was good. Service was amazing. They lost a star because I asked for runny eggs and my eggs were far from that. Also, the pancakes taste like some kind of meat like the grill wasn’t clean. Came from out of town so I most likely won’t be back, but I would tell a friend to stop by.

Can be a long wait, but worth it!! It's a "typical dinner", and this was the fourth attempt to come here, over the years! Every other time we happened to try this spot (always on a weekend) we were told it would be anywhere btwn a 20-40 min wait. Once we were " quoted" a 1hr wait. No way! Finally we got here one weekend and only waited 10-15 mins.I will say the pancakes were glorious (though my husband & daughter said very sweet). And my BLT was exceptional!!! The bacon was perfectly cooked and it was all-around one of the best I've had!!Oh, and a bonus-- the onion rings were perfection! As a mom with two kids--I often notice bathrooms. This one did have a changing table (thumbs up) but could've been cleaner.Prices are decent, but a bit more than some other diners in near by towns. Also, my hot-sauce fan- friend, said their hot sauce was great & she asked if I could bring another bottle next time I got to Compton's!

Wow, this place is a serious gem. I stayed the weekend in a nearby hotel and me and the wife decided to try this place based on the reviews. Even during this pandemic the wait wasn't long and the food was beyond all expectations. Staff super nice and vibrant, everyone checks on everyone and anything you need will be covered before you even need it (like refills or more syrup). Best French toast I ever had in my entire life. Everything super hot and fresh and tasty. We went back the next day before heading home. Will absolutely make this the spot when we come out here again.

On vacation in the Poconos and found this gem for breakfast. We’ve gone twice in two days and both times the food, the service and the atmosphere have been five star. We’ve had waffles, pancakes, traditional bacon and eggs, and even a vegetarian omelette and nothing was disappointing. My kids asked for chocolate milk with whipped cream, and our server made it happen. Great experience.

Compton's has been around for a long time and is known for good food and quality service. Before the Pandemic, you are lucky if you can get in on the weekend for breakfast. Compton's is known for their stuffed omelettes. My favorite is the classic stuffed omelette. Since COVID-19 Compton's is still going strong and now has outside sitting. So whenever you are in the East Stroudsburg, PA area, check out Compton's.
